Innovation, creativity and a desire to pursue intellectual discovery gives rise to the continued effort by the Loucks Group to participate in basic research and the development of new technology for application in today's society. As a result, several of the Loucks Group members have associations with universities and government agencies to participate in research activities. Most members of the Loucks Group have been published in the literature germane to their areas of specialization. In addition, the Loucks Group has access to several unique research facilities, such as wave tanks, wind tunnels, marine tow tanks, environmental chambers, special microscopes and other test facilities.
