Military Science Team The Military Science Team provides an understanding of the operation, deployment and effect of modern tactical weapons and logistical support systems. Structures and personnel can be better protected from hostile action by analyzing a targets vulnerability to modern weapons. Methods of protecting troops and material are key to surviving in conflict. Products that can help mitigate blast and shock effects from explosives, detect chemical and biological weapons, and predict their source can provide that protection, and can be applied to the Homeland Security effort. Advances in military technology are ever more dependant on "off-the-shelf" products. The Loucks Group can provide advice to manufacturers as to how their products may be utilized on the battlefield, or within the command structure to advance the information exchange between the command levels. New ways of operating at a high tempo with fewer logistical needs can be introduced, tested, and implemented once demonstrated. Once a product for demonstration is available, the Loucks Group can help introduce the product to the appropriate military acquisition authority, benefiting both the manufacturer, and the Department of Defense. Likewise, the Loucks Group can also provide advice for a manufacturer attempting to introduce
a product to a foreign military service, such as a NATO member. The Loucks Group can review the product against
the appropriate ISO and STANAG codes and standards to determine if the product would meet the minimum
requirements for use by a foreign military.
