Civil Engineering Team

The Civil Engineering Team draws from its experience in structural, hydrological, geotechnical, geological, geomechanical, construction and building to solve problems affecting simple performance issues to the cause of major catastrophes. Technical investigation of these events provides a thorough assessment of damage and cause of failure to be used for purposes of repair, retrofit, repair, claims adjustment or litigation. The same experience and analysis methods can be applied to evaluate structures before failures can occur. The vulnerabilities of a structure and its facilities can be assessed to evaluate what potential for damage exist, and to develop appropriate mitigation measures. Areas of structural assessment and methods of mitigation include effects from earthquakes, blast and shock, weapons of mass destruction, hurricanes, tornadoes, snow, hail, water intrusion, and other forcing effects.
